LAS VEGAS, NV — The Miss Juneteenth Nevada Scholarship Program, an official program of Juneteenth Nevada 501(c)(3), is proud to announce that Ameerah Collins has been crowned Miss Juneteenth Nevada 2026/27. Ameerah, who previously served as the Miss Juneteenth Nevada Las Vegas delegate, has ascended to the state title, bringing with her an extraordinary record of leadership, academic excellence, and a deep commitment to community and social justice.
About Our New Queen
Ameerah Collins is a junior at Silverado High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. A young woman of remarkable breadth, she serves as an officer in the Black Student Union and as Horn Captain for her school’s band — roles that speak to her discipline, creativity, and natural ability to lead. Through her involvement in academics, athletics, and community activities, Ameerah has cultivated strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for service.
With her sights set on Howard University or UNLV to study Political Science, Ameerah aspires to forge a career in politics and social justice advocacy. She is driven by a vision of creating policies and opportunities that empower communities, expand access to resources, and ensure that every voice is heard and valued.
